For me, this is a much more controlled option as both the hooks will connect to the point you're aiming for. Instead I press the left hook and right hook simultaneously. I think I changed the assignment for jump ( Edit: jump/gas same thing) to spacebar though, and maybe I reassigned dodge - I can't remember, it's been a while. I use the default key mapping for most things so that my left hand controls the movements and my right hand (via mouse) attacks and controls direction. The touchpad locks up when I run, so I can't change my view/direction easily. When playing with my laptop, I need to use a mouse. Disclaimer: I haven't played the most recent version of the game (or even played it in a while), so I haven't tried killing crawlers. I'm not assuming you're stupid or anything, I just want to make sure I'm clear since this isn't a video/visual guide. Also sorry about possibly over-explaining. Sorry that the post got kinda really long. This might not be what you're looking for since I only really know the basics and just sorta get by, so don't feel obligated to say something nice lol.
